4 Simple (and Free!) Squarespace Plugins to Make Your Website Stand Out.
Want to add a few unique features to your site without needing to learn how to code? Ghost Plugins have some fun, simple ones to add - here are 6 of my favorites. Plus it couldn’t be easier. You simply copy Ghost’s provided code into your Squarespace custom CSS, which can be found under “Website Tools.” Here are four that I have used recently, with visual proof of how easy they are to apply.
1. Add a Dot Cursor
Instead of having the default black arrow like every other website, you can change it to a black dot!
2. Text Highlight Color
This is another simple way to escape the default blue text highlight when selecting and highlighting text. Here, why not include a brand primary or secondary color. I used one of my primary brand colors, the turquoise green.
3. Solid Shadow Button
This button style is great to add some detail, especially on text heavy sections of the landing page.
These buttons with the white and shadow add visual interest.
4. Titled Hyperlinks
I am a sucker for a bit of interactivity, and it little movement added to the links in the footer are fun, and creates a little surprise for the user.
